Name and status
The Southeast Asia Surfing Association (SEASA) is a voluntary cooperative association of national surfing associations. It is not a governing body and holds no authority over its members.
Objects
To coordinate a regional calendar, develop coaching and judging, support athlete pathways, and advance ocean-safety practice across the member nations.
Membership
One national association per country may be admitted. Admission requires a simple majority of existing members. Each member holds one vote regardless of size.
General Assembly
The Assembly meets once a year. Each member association sends two delegates and casts one vote. Constitutional amendments require four of six votes.
Executive Board
Six members, one nominated by each association, serving three-year terms. Officers rotate; no nation may hold the presidency for consecutive terms.
Committees
The Board may establish standing committees. Every committee seats one representative per member association.
Finance
Funding comes from equal annual member contributions and event partnerships. Accounts are published annually to all members.
Competition and rankings
Ranking points are awarded on a published scale. Entry and national selection remain the responsibility of each member association.
Dispute resolution
Disputes are heard first by the Secretary General, then by a three-member panel drawn from associations not party to the dispute.
Amendment and dissolution
Amendment requires four of six votes at a General Assembly. Dissolution requires five of six, with remaining funds returned to members equally.
